Hi {{first name|there}},

Welcome back to Retire & RISE.

Before we get into today’s note, I want you to know about something simple and pressure-free.

On February 17th, I am opening up free access to an app I built called Path Finder. It is a quick way to calmly explore possible strategies, paths, and niches if you have ever had thoughts about starting something online, without guessing or committing to anything.

A Safe Checklist Before Signing Up for Anything

Most people do not make risky decisions because they are careless.

They make them because they feel rushed or unsure.

Online, it is easy to click “sign up” before you feel settled. Everything looks polished. Everything sounds confident. And it is not always clear what questions you should be asking.

That is where a simple checklist helps.

Not a technical checklist.
A thinking checklist.

How ChatGPT Can Help You Slow Things Down

This is one place where ChatGPT can be genuinely useful.

Not to decide for you.
Not to tell you what to do.

But to help slow things down.

Here is the main idea for today:

Before signing up for anything, you are allowed to pause and ask calm questions.

If something feels unclear, you can paste a short description into ChatGPT and ask:

Explain this to me in plain English.
What is the person actually asking me to do?

That single question often removes a lot of noise.

You might also ask:

  • What questions should a cautious beginner ask before signing up for this?

  • Point out anything here that feels rushed, vague, or unclear.

These are not clever prompts.
They are protective ones.

.

Pressure Is Information

Protection matters more than speed.

The goal is not to find reasons to say yes.
The goal is to understand what you are being invited into.

Safe opportunities welcome questions.
Unsafe ones try to move past them.

If something feels confusing, that is not a personal failure.

It is information.

A Small Win

One gentle way to use this is just once.

The next time something online catches your attention, ask ChatGPT to slow it down and explain it calmly.

You do not have to act on the answer.
You do not even have to like the answer.

If all you did today was give yourself permission to pause and seek clarity, that counts.

That is a real small win.

If it helps, I put together a short checklist you can use anytime you want to slow things down and think clearly before signing up for anything online.

We will keep taking this one step at a time.

See you at the bank. 💰
Bob

Asking careful questions is not hesitation. It is how thoughtful people protect themselves.
