Hi {{first name|there}},
Welcome back to Retire & RISE.

📖 A Small Experiment
Most people believe technology must be mastered before it can be used.
That idea stops a lot of learning before it even begins.
Many years ago, when I worked in consulting, we often had to write long proposals. Sometimes you would sit in front of a blank page with no idea how to begin.
The senior consultants taught us a simple trick.
Just write one sentence:
“The purpose of this proposal is…”
That sentence almost always broke the stall. Once you wrote it, the next sentence usually appeared.
And then another.
Learning to use ChatGPT works in a very similar way.
You do not begin by mastering it.
You begin with a small experiment.

🎯 Think Like a Scientist
Scientists rarely begin with perfect knowledge.
They begin with a question.
Then they run a small experiment.
ChatGPT works well with that same mindset.
Instead of trying to ask the perfect question, you might start with something simple:
“Help me think through this idea.”
“I am trying to understand how this works.”
“Can we experiment with this for a minute?”
ChatGPT will usually respond with ideas, explanations, or suggestions.
Some of those will be helpful.
Some may miss the mark.
That is normal.
The goal of the experiment is not perfection.
The goal is learning.

.
🎁 What the Experiment Teaches
After a few small experiments, something interesting begins to happen.
You start to notice what ChatGPT does well.
For example:
• organizing scattered thoughts
• explaining unfamiliar topics
• suggesting ways to begin a project
• helping you think through a decision
You will also notice its limits.
Sometimes it guesses.
Sometimes it misunderstands the situation.
That is why the best way to use ChatGPT is not as an authority.
It is better to think of it as a thinking partner.
You remain in control.
You guide the direction.
You decide what makes sense.

.
🌟 A Small Win to Look For
Your first real win with ChatGPT will probably not be something complicated.
More often, it is the moment when it helps you organize your own thinking.
That might look like:
• outlining an idea
• explaining a topic in simpler language
• helping you compare two choices
These small moments build confidence.
And confidence makes the next experiment easier.

🎁 A Gentle Thought
You do not have to become an expert in artificial intelligence.
You only need to become comfortable experimenting with it.
A small question.
A short conversation.
A simple idea you want to explore.
That is enough to begin.

🤝 Gentle Close
Learning new tools does not require rushing.
It just requires curiosity.
And a few small experiments.
We will keep exploring them together.
I would actually be curious what people experiment with this week.
If you happen to try something, you can always send me a one-word reply.
See you at the bank. 💰
